Our mission is to create a community that will foster and inspire life-long relationships between alumni, faculty, administration, and current students of Avalon University School of Medicine.
Our goal is to offer valued services to our alumni members and to support the University’s mission.

You need to understand days will be hard at times. But you do what you can for the best of your patients. Stay focused. Do the right thing. Always.”
Rajiv Mallipudi, an esteemed alumni of Avalon University, has built a remarkable career in medicine, driven by a profound sense of purpose and dedication. Rajiv highlights the intrinsic reward of helping others as the core of his passion. “In the simplest sense, I love that I can help people. I can help people with all types of conditions and get them better. It’s very rewarding. In addition, I love how I am constantly learning on the job and applying my joy for science to help others.”
This dynamic interplay between constant learning and patient care underscores his enthusiasm for the field, illustrating that medicine is as much about personal growth as it is about professional achievement. Tips for balancing out personal and professional growth? “Work life balance is key. However, I was able to manage with support and a schedule.”
If you graduated from AUSOM, you are automatically a member of the Avalon University School of Medicine Alumni Association. We exist to keep everyone of you connected to one another and AUSOM for the rest of your life.
AUSOM Alumni will always be considered members of the Avalon University School of Medicine Community. With graduation, our alumni automatically join the AUSOM Alumni Association. We hope that personal connections and lifelong learning will endure, and be enabled, through the dynamic alumni network which is growing and becoming stronger each year. Our AUSOM Alumni Association will provide opportunities for alumni to engage with one another, connect with the entire AUSOM Community, and enhance their careers.
Realizing that alumni can be our finest ambassadors, interactions with current medical students, future applicants, faculty, administration, and other alumni will be encouraged and promoted. The AUSOM Alumni Association will promote, celebrate, and cultivate its members’ excellence, diversity, and collegiality. Whether through an educational event, a mentorship opportunity, graduation, or a reunion celebration, there are many ways the Alumni Association will strive to enhance engagement between the alumni and the rest of the university community.
The AUSOM Alumni Association will accomplish its mission and provide valued services through advocacy, fundraising, community outreach, investment management, stewardship of resources, and the strength of its alumni. Welcome aboard!
