Dr. Abubakr Alfaouri

After achieving his degree at Avalon University School of Medicine, Dr. Abubakr Alfaouri has recently acquired his Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. He continues to dedicate his life to medicine and uses his strengths to impact the lives of others in a positive and life-changing way.

Like an Eagle, Dr. Alfaouri soars above and beyond. He uses the knowledge he gained during his time at Avalon, for example the program Organ Wise, a program where students would present an organ system in the viewpoints of different disciplines, and implements these methods to aid those in his community. Dr. Alfaouri took part in the Free Health Fairs that the University offered to the Island’s residents, and these experiences inspired him to offer these services to the residents of his community. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, he volunteered his time to help test 15,000 residents of Passaic County, New Jersey.

Along with making the lives in his community better, Dr. Alfaouri is inspirited by his father and his hard work and dedication to providing a better life for his family. His father’s tenacity inspires Dr. Alfarouri to keep working hard and never give up no matter how hard the road gets.

In whirlwind of memories from his time at Avalon, he mentioned that the Student Government Association events will continue to be some of his favorites, specifically the Halloween Boat Party and amazing boat food. He is grateful for his time at Avalon University and is always willing to help the University in any way he can. We appreciate him and all his hard work and can’t wait to see where his successes lead him.

“Being a doctor is similar to being a detective. You are given a history and physical with all the symptoms and signs that are like clues. Then it is your job to crack the case.”
